About ShouldIDrive.sg
ShouldIDrive.sg answers one question for people in Singapore: is it worth taking the car for this trip, right now?
To answer it, we pull live data from the Land Transport Authority's DataMall every couple of minutes. That includes available lots at more than 3,000 carparks, every reported accident, breakdown and roadwork, platform crowd levels at every MRT and LRT station, and the location of every available taxi on the island. Location search is powered by OneMap from the Singapore Land Authority.
When you search a destination, we look at parking supply within walking distance, incidents in the area, and the state of the rail network. Then we give you a plain recommendation. You can always see the underlying numbers and decide for yourself.
The site also publishes the live feeds directly: carpark availability, traffic incidents, expressway cameras and MRT crowd levels.
ShouldIDrive.sg is built and operated by Digital Perpetual, a Singapore software studio. It is not affiliated with LTA, SLA or any government agency. Data is provided by those agencies under the Singapore Open Data Licence.
